THE STORY OF SUMOJAE

I am frequently asked how and why I became involved with designing and manufacturing skin care products. I am always happy to explain that it was because of my personal and unfortunate experience with illness and suffering that I learned natural is the absolute best we can give our bodies to achieve and sustain health and well being.

My mission is to help everyone become more aware of the necessity of creating a more natural environment for our lives in large and small ways, and to provide some of the tools that will assist in achieving that goal.

 

MY STORY:

In my early twenties, I began experiencing a series of medical challenges, some of which were life threatening…and frightening. Chief among these were respiratory and stomach illnesses that would eventually result in several terrifying surgeries.

After one of these surgeries, I was placed on a number of strong medications that admittedly aided in combating the illnesses, but was extremely toxic to my system. Although a young woman, I was placed on oxygen and was required to have it with me at all times. To make matters worse, during this period I began experiencing additional problems that stemmed from the many medications I was taking.

It was at this point that I met a naturalist, a woman that, once hearing about my medical issues, felt that I would benefit from a more natural lifestyle. She recommended that I start using natural herbs for prevention and healing. I had nothing to lose, right? So, I took her advice and began using the herbs she suggested to support the function and healing of my lungs, for pain, and to cleanse my body of poisonous toxins.

It wasn't long before I began seeing the benefit of the natural medicines that nature has provided us for healing and general health. The results were startling.

I had already been experimenting with creating my own body products such as lotions and creams. Now, I was armed with the knowledge of how vitally important natural products are for our bodies…both inside and out. I understood that natural skin care products are essential not only as a source of good skin care, but as healing agents, also. The body is created to be in tune with nature and there are certain natural processes that will allow the body to heal itself provided it is given the proper care.

On the heels of these "ah ha!" moments came Sumojae products.
